이번 전시는 낙동강이 바다와 만나는 다대포 해변의 독특한 지형에서 출발합니다. 산(아미산), 강(낙동강 하구), 바다(남해)가 만나는 사하구 다대포는 서로 다른 밀도의 물줄기들이 끊임없이 충돌하고 뒤섞이며, 새로운 생태적‧문화적 서사를 만들어내는 역동적인 장소입니다. ≪Undercurrents(언더커런츠): 물 위를 걷는 물결들≫이라는 제목 아래, 우리는 바다와 땅을 오가는 물결 사이에 숨겨진 대사작용을 탐색하고, 그 역동적이고 비가시적인 흐름을 인간의 감각과 경험의 차원으로 끌어올리고자 합니다. 변화하는 바다의 ‘대사적 리듬(metabolism)’이 우리의 일상과 어떻게 맞닿아 있는지, 그리고 그 보이지 않는 움직임을 어떻게 공동의 인식으로 전환할 수 있을지를 함께 질문합니다.

This year’s Sea Art Festival begins at the unique coastal geography where the Nakdong River meets the sea. Located in Saha-gu, where Mount Ami, the river estuary, and the South Sea converge, Dadaepo is defined by the constant collision and merging of waters with differing densities—a place where new ecological and cultural narratives are continuously generated. Under the title Undercurrents: Waves Walking on the Water, the exhibition traces the subtle metabolic exchanges hidden between land and sea, seeking to reveal their invisible yet vital flows as part of our sensory and embodied experience. It asks how the shifting metabolic rhythms of the sea intersect with our daily lives, and how these unseen processes might surface as shared awareness.

밑 물결 – 공공의 만남

2025바다미술제는 동시대 미술에 쉽게 다가갈 수 있도록 다양한 워크숍, 퍼포먼스, 대화 프로그램을 마련합니다. 본 프로그램은 관람객의 능동적인 참여를 유도하며 전 연령대의 방문객이 자연과 직접 맞닿은 열린 환경 속에서 생태적, 예술적 주제를 탐구할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 합니다. 전시해설 투어부터 연 날리기, 스노클링 세션, 세대를 아우르는 퍼포먼스에 이르기까지 공동의 경험과 포용적 배움을 장려하며 예술을 매개로 지역 사회를 연결하고 바다와 그 변화무쌍한 리듬을 새롭게 인식하여 이해하는 방식을 제안합니다.

Sea Art Festival 2025 presents a diverse program of workshops, performances, and conversations designed to make contemporary art accessible to all. These events invite active participation, offering visitors of all ages the opportunity to explore ecological and artistic themes in direct contact with nature. From guided tours and kite-flying to snorkeling classes and intergenerational performances, the program fosters shared experiences and inclusive learning. It aims to connect communities through art, encouraging new ways of sensing and understanding the sea and its changing rhythms.
